Aubrey Blackwell

Bio

Aubrey Blackwell is a 21 year coaching veteran from 6 years in Collegiate baseball and 15 in high school sports. His career coaching record is 80-40 and has served also as a Head Golf and Baseball Coach along the way. This is Blackwell’s second stent at Saint James. During his first stent with the Trojans from 2012-2014 he served as the assistant head football coach and offensive coordinator to mentor, Jimmy Perry. During that time he also helped the Trojans to their first region championship in school history. Most recently Blackwell served as the head football coach and athletic director at Jackson Academy in Jackson, Mississippi from 2022-24. Blackwell has made other coaching stops at Benjamin Russell High School where he was the head football coach and the co-athletic director (2021-2022), Montgomery Catholic where he was also the head football coach and assistant athletic director (2015-2020), and Saint Paul’s Episcopal School where he was the assistant football and baseball coach (2010-2012). He played college baseball at the University of Montevallo where he graduated with Bachelors in Kinesiology and Masters in Education. He played baseball at Central Alabama Community College for coaches Ronnie Baynes and Don Ingram. In high school he played for Coach Jimmy Perry at Robert E Lee and helped lead the Generals to a State Runner-Up in 1999.

As a Head Football Coach, He’s won 4 Region Championships, 1 State Runner up, 3 Semi-Final appearances, and 3 coach of the year awards. He has been inducted into the University of Montevallo and the Robert E Lee Hall of Fame and was the Montevallo Alumnus of the Year in 2019. He is married to Brandi Roberts Blackwell of Geraldine for 19 years this August and has two children, Will who is a 9th grader and Kayla who is a 8th grader.
